The story of a photographer

Hi, I’m Mitzi. Welcome to my “ABOUT ME” page!

I’m the blessed mom to the three babes you see here and wife to the man who created this image. Family is second only to God. To Him I am grateful for life and love.

Capturing my family’s moments has always been important to me and doing so for others brings me so much added joy! From everyday happenings to grand celebrations, all memories preserved become future treasures!

My approach to photography: For me, it’s about the mood. While location and details can help pull a story together, capturing the personalities, emotions, and connections is priority. When someone looks back at an image I’ve taken, years down the road, I want it to instantly transport them back…recalling the sentiments of that very moment. Be it the first days quietly cuddling with a newborn and the baby smell that fades too quickly or the screaming fans and blaring band after the game winning touchdown. Maybe it’s the exhilaration of a dancer nailing her ring jump or the words to the first song danced together as husband and wife.

I have had the honor to witness and photograph people at different stages of their life. I honestly couldn’t tell you that I prefer one type of photography over another. I would have to say my favorite is photographing individuals in love, with those they love, doing something they love or something for the love of others.

“Mitzi is absolutely the perfect wedding photographer. She was discreet in the intimate moments of the first look, but later in the night could be found out on the dance floor completely comfortable capturing our high energy moments, as well! After over a year of being married, I still love to look back at the photos, and I get to experience the day all over again. Mitzi goes above and beyond from the planning to the actual day itself. Overall, I can't recommend Mitzi enough!”
